The ZT1280 is a 1.5L (1280cc), four-stroke, naturally aspirated inline-four piston engine designed for large UAVs and light sport aircraft. It burns 92-octane gasoline to deliver reliable, efficient power for long-endurance flight and higher payloads.
Unlike traditional aviation engines, the ZT1280 features DOHC and 4 valves per cylinder – a proven automotive technology that improves breathing, power density, and fuel efficiency. With 107 HP (78.5 kW) at 5500 rpm and 145 N·m of torque from 3500 to 4500 rpm, it provides strong, linear thrust from takeoff to cruise.
The all-aluminum construction reduces weight and enhances cooling. Multi-point electronic fuel injection and China V emission compliance keep operating costs low while using widely available 92-octane fuel.
Ideal for fixed-wing UAVs (mapping, surveillance, logistics), long-endurance drones, light sport aircraft, and VTOL hybrid platforms.
1480cc UAV Engine
The ZT1480 is a 1.5L (1480cc), four-stroke, turbocharged inline-four piston engine for large UAVs and light sport aircraft. It runs on 92-octane gasoline with direct injection to deliver exceptional power and efficiency.
With a turbocharger, direct injection, and DOHC 4-valve cylinder head, the ZT1480 produces 197 HP (145 kW) at 5600 rpm and a massive 285 N·m of torque from just 1500 to 4000 rpm – providing instant, sustained thrust for takeoff, climb, and heavy-payload missions.
The all-aluminum construction keeps weight low while improving thermal management. Meeting China VI emission standards, it offers powerful yet clean operation using widely available 92-octane fuel.
Ideal for heavy-lift UAVs, long-endurance surveillance drones, high-performance light sport aircraft, and VTOL hybrid platforms.
550CC UAV Engine
The ZT-T550 is a 550cc, two-stroke, horizontally opposed 4-cylinder piston engine designed for UAVs and light aircraft. It delivers high thrust-to-weight ratio with a compact form factor.
Weighing only 18.3 kg, the ZT-T550 produces 49.6 HP (37 kW) and provides 70 kg of thrust at 100m altitude (61.8 kg at 1800m). It supports a maximum take-off weight of 220 kg, making it ideal for medium‑lift drones and light sport aircraft.
The engine features a forged 7‑piece crankshaft, aluminum cylinder with ceramic‑reinforced hardened coating, and CDI automatic advance ignition. It runs on a 50:1 fuel‑oil mixture with a speed range of 1300–7500 rpm.
Available with either a carburetor (14 L/h fuel burn) or EFI (10 L/h fuel burn) plus electric start and optional 800W/2000W generator.
Recommended propellers: 32×20, 30×23, 30×25.
